What am I looking for in a helmet cam?

I know the application but don't know what features I need to be on the lookout for.

I cycle a lot and it would be nice to have a camera attached to my helmet on occasion. Ideally I would like to be able to compress a ride into a few minutes of video. One of my biggest concerns is that the camera will shake a lot. I could attach it to my helmet or to my handle bars. What I am aiming for is somewhat smooth video that has been compressed in time.

Ideally it would also be nice to take real time video as well. I often run into wildlife (bears) and a single photograph doesn't do it justice.

What features should I be asking about for these applications?

Which store do you intend to buy your spy cams? I think the MD80 from Ebay can be conveniently attached to your helmet. They cost less than $10 too.
