I like the Tarte Amazonian Clay for dry skin. It's a thick foundation, but it leaves the skin dewy and looking moisturized. It is a bad foundation for oily skin. I also heard great things about Laura Mercier Silk Cream foundation for people with dry skin, but I have yet to try that one out.
I like the Neutrogena brand. They have all different types of foundations. They have them for dry skin, oily skin, mixed, and even sensitive skin. They are not very pricey. I would say they are in the middle of the road concerning prices. Plus, you can find the products at most major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Meijer.
