Brother's dog has liver cirrhosis..

    They just did a biopsy on the liver and found scarred tissue on the liver and the intestines . It took almost 6 months to make a diagnosis and a lot of money. I feel sorry for my brother because he really loves that dog . It is a handsome breed and it looks exactly like a fox. I forget the name of the breed. Anybody can offer any suggestions on diet and exercise for this animal ? I read online that there is no treatment for liver cirrhosis but with proper diet and exercise it can be slowed down immensely.

    They have the dog (Roscoe) on steroids right now. It seems to be genetic. He doesn't have the Hepatitis virus and he sure as hell doesn't drink :p
    I read about a number of genetic factors that can cause scarring of the liver and intestine.
