Hannibal -the best show on TV?

"Best" imo is a subjective term. Yeah I must admit it's really good and the lead actors are great at their stuff but for me it's not the best TV show.

I don't like psychological thrillers that blend in some element of horror with everything else. I prefer documentary-style shows. Like Ancient Aliens and the Haunting Of. Ask me any day and I'd tell you Ancient Aliens is the best show on TV. For me it is.

 

I haven't watched Hannibal but I guess it might be enjoying this interim period between Game of Thrones and Walking Dead to claim the title of best show, but that's soon ending as Walking Dead is starting back up

But like Denis said, that's a very subjective thing, I know not everyone likes the same shows as me.

 

I don't know if it's the best show on TV but we do love it. My husband and I have been watching it since the very first show and were hooked!! We never miss an episode and when the season ends were so sad. Hard waiting months to see it again. Looking forward to the new season starting up again soon !!

I wasn't even appealed by the commercials and ads. "Best" is a very opinionated word, and there are other shows I'd rather be watching than Hannibal. Besides, I don't really like shows like that. Very serious and about murders. That's probably why I don't watch Criminal Minds.

 

I haven't seen Hannibal but I've heard great reviews about it. I did read the book though, years ago and it was really scary and creepy. I'm actually thinking of watching it one of these days actually. What i think is the best TV show is THE WALKING DEAD. I've been following the show since day 1 and it's really the best.

 

Have never watched it. Is it as good as the movie of the same name? I really enjoyed Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. Hopefully this show lives up to the hype because I've heard a lot of good things from friends and critics alike. Will have to check it out when I get an opportunity.

 

I haven't watched Hannibal. I wasn't even a big fan of Silence of the Lambs. I nearly walked out on it. I have heard that Hannibal is really gruesome so I have avoided it. I have also stopped watching Criminal Minds too. I do enjoy Game of Thrones with is porn with a pinch of horrible death. I'm not really sure why I enjoy that show so much. I would say it's my best show. That and Arrow.

 

I've seen the original movie and I must say it was pretty disturbing and gross. Plots with psycho killers are not really my cup of tea but out of curiosity, I continued to watch the film and endured brutal scenes where victims were killed with their guts hanging out. I would prefer Walking Dead anytime of the day than have my psyche battered by the thought of sociopaths masquerading as normal people.

 

I haven't watched the show yet, but one of my friends already mentioned this to me. And based on what she said about Hannibal, I think it's a good series though personally, Game of Thrones will always be the best for me. ☺

 

I don't like these kind of shows at all, my fiancee watches Hannibal but i refuse to even be in the same room when it is on. After reading what the show was about my thoughts were that it's revolting, depressing, disturbing and demoralising.

I don't understand how this type of show can be classed as entertainment, the world can be a horrible place as it is without subjecting yourself to this sort of viewing. I don't mean any offence to anyone that enjoys the show and maybe i am just a bit soft for a man of 46. I guess i am just a sensitive type of person who wants the world to be a nice place.

Hannibal is the only thing my fiancee and i have really disagreed about, i have to admit i am disappointed she feels the need to watch it but it's up to her. I think these type of shows show a lack of respect for human life and feel that the writers have twisted minds. It's just the way i feel, i can't help it, just wish the world could be a better place.
