    (Lost isn't a comedy show...).

Mine would be 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, SNL, Modern Family and Friends.

Agreed, the first few seasons were great, Berta was my favorite character. It's became a lousy, repetitive show that tries to make fart jokes and all kinds of crap now.

Lost is one of my favorite shows, but it's not considered a comedy. My favorites are:

    --The Big Bang Theory
    --Psych
    --Married with Children
--Happy Days ( I know it's old but I love it)
    --Laverne and Shirley (see above)

Without question, my favorite comedy show of all time is Seinfeld. What made that show so great (and what will likely keep it in syndication until the world ends) was the fact that the humor came at you from every direction. Sometimes it was mindless and overt, but most of the time it was much more subtle and clever, and it was always entertaining.

For the sake of this exercise, my four remaining favorites are:

    4) Taxi
    3) Mork & Mindy
    2) Alf
    1) Frasier

I'm a comedy junkie, and I could make that list much longer, but for me, those five shows are classic.

    In no particular order:

    Monty Python's Flying Circus
    Red Dwarf
Friends (not THAT funny, but nostalgic for me)
South Park (later seasons, not the early gross-out fest)
The Simpsons (up until season 10 or something, after that it went downhill..)

Wow, that isn't an easy question to answer. I too love to watch television and situation comedies. Especially classic ones, but if I had tho choose what my favorites are and the one that still make me laugh even though I've seen the episodes more then once it would be the following.

    5. Odd Couple
    4. Sandford and Son
    3 My Name is Earl
    2 Green Acres
    1 Golden Girls

Like I said it wasn't easy to come up with this list. Because there are still some sitcoms that I watch that aren't on this list. But notice that I don't have any of the most recent on this list. I guess I'm just not that into the more modern sitcoms of today.

You're the third person that has named Lost as a comedy show. It's not. There is nothing funny about Lost.

    My favorite comedy shows are:
    Flight of the Conchords
    Black Jesus
    Seinfeld
    Portlandia
    and the League.

Lost isn't a comedy show but Sawyer was hilarious. If it didn't have any funny moments I wouldn't have been able to watch it. Maybe that's why people are listing it.

    Sabrina The Teenage Witch
    Boy Meets World
    Family Matters

Ugh...I need two more. All I watch are comedies so it'd be difficult to pick two other favorites so I'll just say the shows I've really been into lately which are Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry.

Sawyer was a wise a$$, but I thought of him as a tragic character. His father killed his mother then killed himself. He allowed himself to be manipulated into killing an innocent man. This haunted him which was why he was a wise a$$. The fact that he had a nickname for everyone was funny thought. I do think it's interested how different people watch the same show and see different things.

I don't know why you included Lost in your list because the series wasn't a comedy at all. Far from it. Or maybe you were referring to a different show. Not the one created by JJ Abrams. Anyway, my favorite comedy shows of all time would be The Big Bang Theory, Friends, Two and a Half Men, Seinfeld, and Malcolm in the Middle. I own DVD copies of all of these series. Whenever I need something to cheer me up, I would pop a random DVD and laugh my troubles away. :)
