In this time that is really hot I am always divided between two situations. One, endure the heat (haha, of couse not) or use the air conditioner and go through the risk of getting a cold in the middle of the heat wave. How do you deal with it, do you risk a cold or do you go with the heat?

I'm not sure I follow, what does running the AC have to do with catching the cold virus?
Yes going from cold to hot back to cold does have a negative effect on your immune system and will increase the chances of catching a cold, but if you go into stores or shops or offices you typically get the same effect.
Perhaps you are setting your AC too low?
I only run the AC when it gets really hot. Mostly because I am cheap not because I am afraid of the immune system effects.

That was exactly what I was saying, there are huge temperature differences when we set the air too cold and that might contribute to get us a cold. I usually tend to resist poorly to AC, so that is why I only use them when is really really hot.
