I have a first generation iPod touch, so it's quite old. Haven't used it in a while and just tried to turn it on and it said it needed to be plugged into iTunes. I did so and it wanted a restore, every time the restore is complete is just says the same message again. I've done it 3 times now! Is it completely broken or is there a way I can fix it?

Can you hard reset the device? I haven't dealt with an iPod that old in quite a long time. I'd say try a hard reset and restore it again. It should work from there. Otherwise, it might be a lost cause. You could always take it to an Apple Store for some maintenance, but that could cost some money.
