I'm hoping to take advantage of some of the promos that are being offered in the U.S. and I plan on having my friend ship it to me. I'm looking to get some products like laptops, DSLR cameras and possibly also some smartphones and tablets, but I have no idea how much shipping would cost me from U.S. to Asia or if it is reliable to ship electronics that way. I'm also a bit worried that the goods will be damaged along the way since electronic devices are usually very sensitive to vibrations and mishandling.

Anyone here who has some experience with this? What tips would you have for me? What can I expect in terms of prices and safety?

You can see the shipping amount in checkout anyway when you order from Amazon or from any other site, so that would give you an idea. What country are you from anyway? I heard that using a US address and then shipping it to your real address is a better option over here in the Philippines when you use GCash American Express Virtual Card.
