With the growing popularity of cosplay comes a growing need to have a collection of costumes. It can be a fulfilling hobby but a costly one especially if a cosplayer is not very resourceful with the costumes. Labor of dressmakers and costume makers are not that cheap. My sons are thinking about participating in a cosplay event. What would be the cheapest source of costumes that you can recommend? Which characters are the most practical to cosplay?
Amazon.com has a lot of cheap cosplay wigs for less than $10 and some of them are surprisingly nice. eBay also has cosplay costumes. The most practical and cheap cosplay is just to put on a normal all-black ninja costume from an online martial arts store and say that you're Hattori Hanzo from the video game Samurai Warriors.
