My kids haven't gone to the swimming pool in the last weeks because of the holidays and I am not compensating for those classes either, but I feel it's unfair because I am paying for them. What happens in your case, do you pay half month or do you compensate later?

It should be built into the price, but often when classes fall on a public holiday they are not compensated for evening classes or summer schools. It isn't fair, but generally in the small print it would have indicated this. I had this happen when I was at summer school and missed a class due to Thanksgiving, which wasn't fair as we missed a class which we had theoretically paid for.
