The graphene light bulb is set to go on sale to the public, this bulb is coated in graphene which is a super strong carbon that lasts longer and uses 10% less energy than bulbs on the market at present.

The technology was developed at Manchester university, it is based on a traditional light bulb design, the manufacturing costs are lower and the savings should be passed on to the consumer. The bulb is also good for the environment as aside from the reduced energy consumption, the bulb is made from sustainable products.

We'll see. If this bulb doesn't cost a month's worth of mortgage, and doesn't blow within a week, I'll probably be impressed. LOL I am just so sick and tired of all the hype about light bulbs. It's kind of like the wheel:It doesn't need to be re-invented every few years. Here's hoping this really is a better and cheaper product.
