During our first year as new homeowners, my husband really got attached to the Postman. Around Christmas I thought about a commercial I had seen where the Postman received gifts from some of the folks on his route. We did that one time and thought we would begin a niche tradition of it but another Postman was on the route come the New Year. We didn't feel close enough give a gift so we didn't. Have you ever given your neighborhood Postman a Christmas card or gift?
I live in an apartment complex and oddly enough we have different carriers throughout the week - and we don't interact with them because our mailboxes are all in a wall in a designated area - so I don't feel obligated to gift our postman - although I have in the past.
