The closest Walmart in our neighborhood closed up and move away. Bummer, that was my favorite stomping ground; one stop shopping. The next best location I found was 5 miles away. It's a nice drive when the weather is good. When gas prices began to rise I did the math and it was $10.00 give or take a few cents one way. So to save on gas expense I had to put a limit on my trips to Walmart.

Have you calculated how many miles it takes to get to your favorite shopping ground? Have you made changes or reduced your trips to save money on your gas expenses?

Hmm, no, I haven't really. Most of the places I shop are fairly close by (all within 10 mile radius) and I try to limit how frequently I shop anyway.

That being said, there used to be a few places I could only reach by driving about an hour away and I would only visit maybe once or twice a year. Eventually I switched over to mostly shopping online for those places.
