Regardless of what you think you of him, Kanye West is well known for many reasons. Some may not know that he is heavily involved in fashion, and has a new shoe coming out. It's unclear (as far as I can tell) how much they will retail for, but they'll probably be at least 200 dollars. Some of the shoes Kanye has previously designed, like the Nike Air Yeezy, go for thousands of dollars on eBay. Would you ever consider paying that much for shoes? What if they were made from your favorite celebrity?
That is very interesting, I have read up on Kanye West before but had not yet read about his new line of shoes. I envy people who do have an appreciation for fashion - they know fine quality when they see it. But since I do not (I once called a BMW a 'black escort'), then NO I would NEVER pay that much for shoes. But like I said, for those who appreciate that, I can see why they would indulge.
I personally love clothes and fashion in general. I have in the past paid £200 for a pair of ankle boots. They are a very good leather pair by a very good brand; these boots will last forever. Would I do it again? Yes, if I could afford it absolutely I would. Right now though, I couldn't because I'm a bit squeezed for cash.
For someone who's into fashion, I can't seem to see fashion in the way he dresses (but that's a different story altogether). Though I am a shoe lover, it's impossible for me to splurge on designer shoes due to more pressing priorities. I limit my shoe purchase to not more than $60. You can already get a pair of sturdy, functional boots with a chic design for that price. Brand is of no consequence to me, anyway.
I would probably never buy shoes that expensive. I can justify maybe a couple hundred bucks on a very nice pair of shoes that would last me years and still look good. Honestly, the people I know with expensive Nike shoes aren't the type to wear those shoes. They have dozens of Nikes they collect, which they only wear a couple times, if that. I would never buy shoes just to collect them nor shoes that are super expensive just because a celebrity endorses it.
Spending that kind of money on a pair of shoes is insane. I wouldn't pay that if my favorite celebrity slept with them on; but then, I don't really have a favorite celebrity, either. And sports shoes, though highly functional, tend not even to be very attractive. It must be near criminal to charge that much for a pair.
I would say around $65 would be more than enough to spend on shoes. Really I often find my shoes on sale between $20 and $35. I can find good name brand, decent shoes on sale at that price so I really don't see the need to spend anymore. I will admit I have thought about splurging on a $200 pair of Tory Burch, but never could go through with it.
$70 would be my limit in purchasing shoes. I'm not into leather shoes that much, since I prefer the look and design of rubber shoes. Nike is usually the most expensive among all the common brands, so I would have to just look in Skechers, they have lots of cool designs too.
Absolutely not. And I don't care about celebrities in general, but even if I did, I can't imagine wanting to spend that kind of money for something to put on my feet. If my feet need something that expens
I refuse to buy anything celebrity related. Like, the products aren't even all that good half the time, and the item is only that expensive due to hype. Which is ridiculous. Also, don't forget, Kanye West once sold plain white tee shirts for $120 dollars! But the most I'd spend for (good) shoes is probably 50 dollars. I usually try not to buy shoes more expensive then $25 dollars, but $20 dollars and under is usually ideal for me.
I wouldn't pay so much for luxury shoes or leather ones. But I'm willing to pay as high as I can for quality running and training shoes, because I understand why they are expensive. And they are really supposed to be. The more expensive they are, the better the materials and the technology.
The most I would ever spend for a pair of shoes would be around $50.00. I usually end up paying less if I can find a coupon for the store I'm shopping at. The way I think about spending is if I make $10.00 an hour and those shoes are $50.00, are they really worth five hours of my hard work? No, not really!
The most that I have ever paid for shoes was $300. I don't care about celebrities or latest fashion trends. I buy what I like and what feels comfortable. Naturally, I pay attention to whether the shoes suit me, but in the end it's always the comfort aspect that wins, as I spend most of the day on my feet. I like a high quality shoes that last me at least for a year before they show a lot of wear and tear.
I don't care how much money I have to splurge I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a good pair of shoes. I absolutely love boots so it would probably be boots that I'd spend that much on. Even then, I would probably get them at a discounted price from T.J. Maxx or Marshalls where the original price was $200 Or more. Being a fan of someone's music would not make me purchase from their fashion line. I love Jessica Simpson's shoe line. Her shoes look great and are well made for reasonable prices.
I recently make sure I buy very few shoes, but really good ones, the ones that will last for a long time. I have spent about $300 for a pair of shoe and it's already been 2 years and the shoe still looks very nice. I am also rather picky now when it comes to the brand and I go for the ones that are known for durability.
I would never spend more than a hundred dollars on shoes. My most expensive pair is $129, but on average I spend about $25 per pair. I have kids so don't like to go outside of my means for the non necessities. Spending $200 is just absolutely crazy to me.
My limit for everyday shoes is around $50. One of a kind is between $75-100. I remember driving to another county to get shoes from a Robinson's (remember them?) that were not available in L.A.County stores. This was 25years ago and the shoes cost $75. I don't care for Kanye's fashion sense and personally I think his brand is going to decline any day now. Anyone who knows business realizes that his brand reached his peak a few years before he got married. Since then, his public image has been on a downslide. In other words, expect to see his line in the discount stores any day now. It happened to J-LO. I remember seeing a watch of hers that was selling for about $120. It didn't do anything special, it was just pink and pretty. However, I saw the same watch in Ross for $40 less than six months later when her latest release did not get the numbers forecasted.
Not at all, especially for something that I will just be dirtying up being that close to the ground. I think the only people who would be interested in such a thing would be shoe collectors. I personally would just buy any other average pair and be done with it since it would just get dirty and old eventually anyway.
Once I can afford it, and once it is worth it, I will buy it. I'm not into the fashion statement kind of thing at all, I'm more into what is worthwhile, I don't mind buying something expensive when I can afford to and that is going to last me ten to fifteen years.
