The toilet is that part of our home that is largely visited by each & everyone who walks into our house. This makes this place special, and therefore, we must make this place most inviting. Though there are many bathroom fresheners that are available in the market, but I want to open the discussion on homemade fresheners. Baking Soda works beautifully in killing the fowl smell. Sprinkle 1cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar into the Toilet Bowl and then after 10mins scrub it off using the toilet brush. There's no odor & the toilet looks sparkling clean.

We don't get a lot of visitors but the guest bathroom gets a good cleaning once a week and I just add a little bit of bleach to the toilet water both inside the bowl and inside the tank. I like to use the scented bleach because it give a nice scent instead of a bleach smell.

I like using baking soda and vinegar as well. I also leave a cup of baking soda hidden on a shelf above the toilet to keep odors at bay.
