I just discovered millet as a great breakfast cereal. I read about it in a magazine and decided to give it a try and it is really quite good.

Millet is a gluten free grain, it has lots of fiber, magnesium and copper, which are minerals that can be hard to get in your diet in sufficient amounts. I just simmered 1/4 cup of millet in about 3/4 cup of water for about 20 minutes while I was showering and getting ready and then added a few raisins and a dash of cinnamon and it was ready. I was surprised at how much the millet expanded and how full I got. This is a great cereal for me because it helps me not eat too much at the start of the day but I feel satisfied. I think my body was craving the magnesium too.

Tip--don't forget to put salt in the water or it won't taste good, it has almost no sodium at all in it naturally, or at least non that I can taste.
