I just recently purchased a Pura Vida anklet online and while I have yet to receive it (I bought it knowing that the product was on back order), I highly recommend the website. The proceeds go toward Costa Rican artisans, with some money even going towards charities and organizations that aid sharks, dolphins, wolves, etc. should you choose. I have yet to see any review that claims that the charity aspect is illegitimate. Has anyone else shopped at this site and what were your experiences with it?
