Anyone who has oil heat will understand this pain. I read an article before last winter about the difference in cost between the major heat sources used in the United States, and of course oil heat was the highest by nearly 33%. I have it, and to heat my house last winter I purchased about 450 gallons at $4.00 per gallon - that was from December through March. From what I saw in the article, gas heat was the best, most efficient method of heating a home. Does anyone have any stories of their pain with oil heat, or any other heating fuel? Any suggestions of how to make this any better?
