I had ink Jet printers in the past, but changed over to toner printers. I feel the quality and yield seems to be superior when using a laser printer. I primarily do written work and papers and use the black and white toner cartridges. What do you think of the two and do you have a preference?

I have both at home. I prefer my Oki laser printer for text and black/white but I prefer my Canon MP640 for printing color pictures. Mainly because when printing color images with my laser printer, the colors look too saturated.

I haven't really calculated which printer is more expensive. I even think my Oki printer just counts papers and just fakes it whenever he tells me the toner has run ut.
I've noticed it is actually cheaper to buy a new printer (with ink) than to buy the ink separately. You can get a new printer for $49, a full set of ink costs maybe $60-$80
