I tore up an area of overgrown bushes in front of my house and for part of it I am going to replant it in grass. When I went to the nursery I was shocked at how much sections of sod cost. For empire zoysia it is right at $2.00 for a 16" x 24" rectangle. Does this price sound about right?
That sounds about right. Of course it would be cheaper to seed the area yourself, you just don't have the instant results that you do with sod.
