I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding this family and there is a part of me that admires they're wholesome lifestyle but at the same time I can't help but feel a bit unsettled with how restrictive the lives of these women seem to be with the very defined gender roles. It's like women are to be stay at home moms and have an army of babies. You don't work or get a higher education. I think being a good mother is one of the most important things you could ever do in your life but when that is the only role that set before your path I find it disturbing. What if one of the girls wants to go to college and be a doctor? Would that be encouraged? Plus having all of those kids can't be healthy for her body. It just can't be really... Log In
