For me, I prefer to use eBay because it's the place where I can find most of the things the cheapest. Competition is strong on eBay so the sellers offer their price as low as possible. If you're lucky you can easily find one that offers free shipping worldwide. I bought a couple of spare parts from China before through eBay and they were dirt cheap, lower than half the price of what is offered elsewhere. Of course, not all is cool with eBay as there are plenty of scammers so you gotta be careful when choosing.

Amazon is the site I use the most these days for buying DVDs and CDs. I was a big fan of Ebay (especially for cheap wrestling DVDs), but I have avoided them as around half the items I purchase on there do not arrive and because the sellers don't offer anything except second class post there is nothing I can do apart from not do business with that seller again. When over 50% of your items don't arrive it is time to simply stop using the site.

And I live in the UK and only dealt with UK sellers, so it wasn't like I was doing business with someone overseas.

I prefer E-bay over Amazon for used DVDs. The prices are great and I've never had an issue with the movies. Dean has had bad ebay experiences but I haven't so far. Should that happen then maybe I'll start buying from Amazon. But before then, I'll enjoy purchasing DVDs at extremely low prices on ebay.

I use Amazon for everything because you can't beat their shipping speeds. I order things on two-day shipping and tend to get them within one day regardless. I've never had an issue ordering form Amazon, and I've always had positive experiences with customer service there. For that reason, I'll stick with Amazon for most of my online purchases until the company gives me a reason not to.

It is a tie between Ebay and Amazon for me. I guess it just depends on what I am looking for. If anything, I might give Ebay a slight edge because I like to shop through Ebates to get cash back, and Ebay allows cash back on more categories than Amazon.

My favourite place to shop online is iherb. I can't praise them enough. They are a wonderful American company that specialises in healthy body care products and herbal supplements. When I got ill last year, I couldn't find the herbs that I needed in my country, but iherb had everything, and so much more. I am truly grateful to that wonderful institution. :)

I prefer Amazon. I just feel more comfortable buying from Amazon as opposed to Ebay. My concern with Ebay is that there seem to be so many scammers on there and I have also heard plenty of Paypal horror stories so I choose to stick with Amazon. I can find everything I need, the price is right, quick shipping, at the moment there is no reason for me to shop elsewhere.

Maybe it was stolen in your local post office? I have had 3 of the items that I bought stolen in our local post office. But aside from that, I always get the overseas items that I bought from Ebay.

I noticed that Amazon mostly charges for shipping since I live outside the US, so for now I would prefer Ebay, since most Chinese sellers offer free shipping.

Amazon and Ebay are my favorites, too.

I hardly ever use Ebay any more, though. The prices went up, the quality of sellers went down.... it's just not what it used to be, so if I'm going to be buying from merchants anyway, I figure I might as well do it over on Amazon instead.

I use both Amazon and Ebay. I don't purchase a lot online, mostly electronics replacement parts like a battery for my laptop or a cord when it got a short in it. When I did order the replacement powerpack for the laptop in was here in one day. That did impress me. I am planning to order more items from Amazon, the service was good and you receive an email asking if everything was as ordered.

I haven't bought a lot of stuff online, to be honest. The ones I did buy, though, I bought from E-bay. I had to buy a case and a screen protector for my HTC Desire 300 and E-bay is by far the cheapest place to do so. The black case and 5 screen protectors were just over $3 and the shipping was free! My brother uses E-bay more often. Everything from clothes to heating pads, you name it! If it's cheap and small, E-bay is your best bet, in my experience!

I use PayPal most often, purely because it's the most widely accepted service across the internet. I have had bad experiences with PayPal though, so I do tend to use other payment options if they're available - one I've been using a lot lately is Skrill, which is fantastic imo.

Myself just use eBay as well because I have a few relatives who sell there so I'm already comfortable with their mechanics and have some sort of insider knowledge on what goes on behind the scenes. Not that it makes much difference but I just feel a bit more comfortable because of that, however irrational that thought might be. I also buy from a few other local online stores that I have tested multiple times and I love them as well because most of them offer cash on delivery so I never feel like I'm risking my money.

I always use amazon without fail. I seem to have more trust in amazon because I have never had a bad experience with them. With ebay, I am always apprehensive as to whether my package will actually come in the mail or if it was never actually sent and I paid for something I would not receive. I think amazon has a better rep than ebay as well. Paypal is not my go to banking/checking service but I will use it, although I have heard some bad reviews with paypal after their accounts got hacked. If you are going to use paypal for ebay, just use two savings accounts to transfer the money. One can be your holding account to receive or spend the money that has the minimum balance of a dollar and the other is your normal bank account. You don't have to worry about your account being cleaned out if the account your using only has a dollar in it, so no harm, no fowl.

I definitely use amazon the most. Between their variety and the fact that I have amazon prime and get free, 2-day shipping on most of my purchases, it's a no brainer to stick with them for a lot of my online shopping. They've also been very good with customer service in my experience, which is very important to me.

eBay is the best for me! You have to carefully read the product description. Top-rated sellers are usually very specific about each product.

It's easy to get scammed, maybe, but it's never happened to me. I always check a seller's star rating and sometimes their profile to see what others say about them.

Most of the items I buy are from the United States, China, or Japan. Maybe UK sellers tend to be bad  You'd think sellers from China are huge scammers, and yes, most of them are, but like I said, if you look at their ratings you'll usually have a pretty good idea of whether they're any good or not. Their product images are usually fairly honest, and it's easy to tell if something's fake. They may have a good rating, but look closely at the pictures! They get good ratings because people got what they expected, and most people probably don't expect much, or are well aware they're buying fakes. You really just have to look at the description closely.

I like shopping straight at the online store I'm looking for, I rarely shop at places like Amazon or eBay anymore. I used to do it more, now I go to the store I want things from. I'll only go for those websites if I can't find what I want anywhere else.

I love Amazon! I have a prime membership so shipping is almost always free and quick! Also, I signed up through Amazon smile so they contribute to my charity. Really can't beat the fact that returning to them is also super easy. Print the shipping label and drop it off. The refund is automatic. :)

Yeah, I have too pick eBay. I can usually find everything cheaper there, get it faster, and I can use Paypal to pay for it which makes me happy. It just seems easier in my opinion, plus, eBay has recently allowed you to donate money to a charity when you make purchases and that is nice.

I used to love eBay but after 3 consecutive times of being sold junk I just gave up, you'd think after the first 2 I'd stop. Anyways, I use Amazon now for all my online shopping, it's fast and cheap and you can be sure that it's really reliable.
