When there are many responses and one is not sure if that post has been responded to going through the entire responses pages to find out if one has already responded is a difficult task. If our response comes at the top that will make it easy. I have seen this on other sites. Thanks.

Are you serious 10000 character minimum create a discussion. How is that going to encourage members to make new discussions. 10000 characters is way too much for a discussion about a discount promo for a robot vacuum cleaner. Not only they are obsolete some of them buries the newer discussions with deals far from expiring and it also made some members lazy to make new discussions because they rather bump a 5 year old discussion from 2015. It is very unfair for people who makes new discussions and their discussions got buried by some dated discussion.

I suggest that the admin should introduce a credit earning and baking system/add-on. Since members are people keen on savings and investment, a simulation of the same in the group will be good.

The system should allow members to save the points earned and get interest on the savings. Also members can buy and transfer the credits within themselves. Just a thought. We all like rewards. Even virtual rewards.

Sometimes when I view a thread, my kneejerk reaction is to hit the reply button and move to the next thread. Granted, it is impractical to read all the replies before you make your own. But I think it pays to give some consideration to the post preceding yours in order to keep the conversation on track. This without losing focus of the original thread.

I think it might be a good idea for the forum to work towards an online shop. It should only sell DIY creations by members that are active in the forum. This will help us all earn some money as well as save some money as you can provide discount for forum members, etc.

Just a suggestion - but it would be nice to have the default behaviour of the forum be to have notifications for Achievements and Awards to be disabled. It needlessly clutters up my incoming notifications with a bunch of superfluous achievements when I only really care about thread replies and comments.

It can be disabled in Settings, however the feature in general seems to be tacked on and not really serve any real purpose asides from poorly "gamifying" the forums.

I like this forum.

It has got lots and lots of good deals. However, even when buying at a 50% discount, it is still buying and buying costs money. Now, how about a new section on 'Minimalist Living'? This is a concept where we learn to live with as little as we can, spending the minimal amount of money to get by.

For example, how about refurbishing old shoes instead of buying new ones? Or getting more mileage out of an old towel by turning it into a foot rag? Simple ideas, actually, but...

I'd like to make a suggestion for an additional section for Money Saving Apps that we all have on our smartphones. Anyone who uses them will tell you that they are a big part of how they shop for groceries, apparel, etc. I check my apps daily and plan ahead by pulling out coupons to match up with the app rebates. I think a section for money saving phone apps would be a favorite place to post for many people.

I just noticed a thread, actually several copies of the same thread, that was an ad with a link to a site offering to supply counterfeit documents and even money. I did not see the option to report it, I commented on one, and noticed that someone had made a similar comment on another coy of the thread. How do we report such stuff?

How would everyone feel about the tag [EXPIRED] being put in front of expired deals thread names. What I mean is implement a system where people can mark a deal as expired. I a certain amount of people mark it as expired (possibly 3?) then the word '[EXPIRED]' is added to the start of the thread's name. I've only been a member here for a short time but I noticed some issues when posting. Last night I was writing a pretty long post and after I tried to post it the page didn't respond, it got stuck with the busy icon. Since this section is talking about the forum's functions, here goes:

I wish there was a setting for ignoring a poster. I have been on many forums and seen this ability. I'm talking about in our settings an option to ignore that user. Very useful, and while it could be called blocking, like on FaceBook, on other forums I've seen it called ignore. That poster's posts just don't show up.

I also would like the ability to dislike a post and not have it show up WHO disliked that post....

I get the responses (to forum-discussions I've joined here) sent to my inbox; and it makes me sick, people responding to the original post as if it's a 'blog-entry.' So some later posters end up re-repeating what a bunch of the other 'commenting as if the OP were blogging' responders.

Makes me wanna 'disapprove' of all such responses (giving each of those responders a "-1" in their 'responder-karma' (or whatever we call 'the count-up of all their 'likes' & 'dislikes')).

Maybe this is already possible, but I am not seeing it. It would be nice to be able to sort posts in the various categories by when the threads were started instead of by when they were most recently added to. I would rather address more current post than respond to an inquiry made two years ago. Another thing could be a "New Threads" button rather than just a "New posts" one.

This is just something I note when I am on this site.

Even here in the suggestion box I am seeing posts that are pushing two years old. It might be handy to move some of these into an "old post" archive. If the original poster is no longer active or if the product is no longer on the market or on sale there may be no need to have the post pop up every time a category is viewed.

I think the forum is kind of disorganized. Some sections are too specific and some are too general. If you want to discuss music you have to look through thread titles that are also about games and movies. If you want to read product or store reviews for a specific category you have to look through thread titles that can be about any type of product or store. I think the forum should be separated into more simple, general categories where reviews and stores related to that category...
