    I agree! Two of the easiest ways to save on laundry is to wash with cold/cool water and hang dry a lot of clothes. Cold water and avoiding the dryer actually help preserve the life of your clothing. I can't tell you how many pieces of clothing got ruined in the dryer. Another simple tip is to only do laundry when you have full loads. This will save a lot of energy and time.

    I do most of this but, except make my own laundry soap, I use to but my washer kept getting gunked up. I only use cold water (actually when we put my washer water lines in we only ran cold water), if I need some to wash in hot water I bowl a stock pot of it and soak it is the pot.
