I am interested in getting out, meeting new people, and spending a bit of time giving back to the community I live in, in some way or another that is productive. Are there any people on here that are looking for some volunteer assistance that reside around my neighbourhood? I am in British Columbia, Canada.
(Side note - I just moved away from Burnaby last year. Love the area!) As for what to do in the area, I highly recommend looking at sites like Yelp to see what local events are. There are always people looking for volunteers, but if you're interested in meeting people outside of that, Yelp often highlights events, groups, meetups, etc, that you may benefit from.
You're a Canuck? Woot! Hello Canucker! lol. Are you still in the BC area? I only moved into the Tri cities a year ago... moved to Chilliwack from Toronto... talk about culture shock! lol I am pretty much just looking for some good people to meet and get involved in things that are productive.
