In my city due to the rising cases of road traffic accidents associated with motorcycle the government had to put a ban on use of motorcycles. The fact is, relatively to cars motorcycles are dangerous. The rider or the passenger are just being exposed with just two tyres that can hardly stand on their own. Any little touch would land the persons on it down with injuries.
One question to ask is, "Do motorcycles save money on gas and whatnot, considering the safety hazard?". In that case, I'd have to say that they are money-savers depending on whether or not the driver is skilled. Possibly, bad motorcycle driving is to blame for the crashes, not the motorcycle itself. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, though, for instance, when cars don't make left-hand turns.
