I do think status is important to me specially considering the fact that I plan to work in the fashion industry and these people are known for caring a lot about money and status in general. I don't think caring about status is a bad thing as long as that's not all you care about. It's nice to surround yourself with people you consider to be "your level" as long as you remember that it doesn't make you better than anyone else. I think we all want to be rich, no matter how much we deny it.
