I don't think so lol, Being in marketing I know that business always target buyers offering latest fashion items on reasonable rates as turnover covers lots of investment anyways. No business owner would price his dresses at higher rates just because they come into new fashion category unless of course you're talking about fashion celbs costunes or what targets models and filmstars.
I'm not that much of a follower in regards to the latest fashion, i just buy and wear whatever fits my style and stick to brands that provide high quality products. And regardless if anyone were to stay on current events in the fashion industry it's definitely expensive.
I never follow fashion trends and what's hot because I have my own fashion statement I usually recycle clothes and redesign them like simple t-shirts and convert them to sleeveless or crop tops, whatever design comes to mind. I find it enjoyable at the same time, it helps me save a lot of money. However, whenever I buy clothes at the local store, I don't buy branded dresses because it's just too expensive for me.
@Beast_Titan I am also in the habit of getting more of black trousers and jeans. Aside the fact black wears hardly run out of styles they are always a matching colors for all kinds of dresses. Another color of clothes that hardly go out of trend is white. I buy more white shirts or shirts rich in white colors if I am not pursuing the ones in vogue.
I think it's okay. I used to buy fashionable clothes, but now that I'm more concerned about my finances, I only wear comfortable clothes. Just shirt and jeans would be nice. I buy fashionable clothes when they're on season sale.
It's not only limited to the fashion industry, each time a new trend rises the prices will inflate to take advantage of the hype. To be honest i have never paid much attention to fashion or luxury brands as i feel that you can get quality products at a reasonable price from a well known brand.
Well I am not sure how many of you follow sports, but there is a story about the 500 dollar shoes that are the cool thing to buy now, and thankfully not many people did. There are still some idiots out there who will pay though I guess.
I never was one to keep up with the latest fashions. I just wore what I though suited me and I'm still like that. It's too expensive and it will go down in price once it's been on the market a while so I would rather wait until then.
You are right following fashion trends can get too pricey so I try to avoid them. I don't really like following trends, besides now as a mom all I want to wear are comfortable clothing so that's usually what I'll be purchasing. I haven't been following trends for a very long time now and it's good to say I have saved so much.
Well, it depends on your taste in fashion. If you are a fashionista and you are always on the lookout for the latest and trendy clothing and style then save some separate money for that. If not then it is a good idea.
I think you should buy what you want -but I would look for the newest fashions somewhere that you could buy them cheaper. If you like distressed shirts or pants and they look good on you,and you think that you can get a good deal on them, then buy them. You should feed your ego sometimes because its very healthy,so if you think a shirt looks good ripped up and its in style-it can really do you no harm?
Being fashionable does not mean, you have to buy everything that arrives in the market. Being fashionable means wearing appropriate clothes, dressing appropriately for the occassions. I don't run to buy the latest clothes that just arrive in the market. If you are always buying new arrivales, you will endup spending your entire money on clothes.
I agree with this. If you buy clothes when its in vogue, it is very expensive. Rather wait it out till the fashion phase elapses or gradually slows down. To save money, I also buy winter clothes in summer. You get some great winter coats/jackets, blankets for crazy cheap sales during summer. So, as much as you can, always buy out of season.
Yes of course updated stuff is expensive as compare outdated. I read useful tips here how to save money and how to kepe yourself updated. I am sure others will also enjoy.
