I am asking this question because where I live ( Albania ), we have a fixed monthly fee: 1200 Lek = 9,5 Euro. On what basis do you pay your water bill ?
That's a great price for water. We're on a metered supply, so we pay for what we use. As the weather is hot all year round, we use a lot for watering the garden and showers, so I try to save as much as possible by using grey water from washing up to water plants. I also have a water butt to catch the water when it rains - although we don't get much rain, when it does rain, a lot falls in a short time, so it's worth saving.
I pay only for what I use. Plus there is a minimum amount below which I don't have to pay anything at all. So I do whatever I can to keep my water usage to below that minimum amount.
