I just bought my boyfriend a Mr. Beer Brewing Kit from Amazon last week and he absolutely loves it. The kit came with everything he needed to brew his own batch of beer--a 2 gallon fermenting container, ingredients for the beer, carbonating drops and bottles to store the beer in. He made a batch that is sitting in the closet right now, which will hopefully be ready in the next couple weeks. Who here brews their own beer? We're obviously brand spankin' new to it and would love to hear some tips and stories!

I'd be lying if I said that I've never brewed beer. I remember when I was in boarding school we tried something like that. Secretly that is and we went a step further and distilled it to make something even much stronger. So brewing beer isn't that hard I think because all it needs is fermentation which takes about two weeks to complete. Good thing about homemade beer is that the alcohol content is much higher [unless you hate that] than beer sold in stores/pubs/bars.
