I'd much prefer Cyber Monday. I'm not a fan of huge, rabid crowds. In fact, we just had a guy that was stabbed in my state over a parking space on Thanksgiving (early black Friday opening). Thanks, but no thanks.
I'm okay in crowds but the crowds that come out for Black Friday seem like they are comprised of THE most impatient and rude mannered people that exist in that locale. I've read stories about people getting stabbed and cussed out and etc. My heart really goes out to the employees that work at these stores and have to practice the utmost amount of patience throughout the whole process and have to clean up when all is said and done. For these reasons I have become a bigger Cyber Monday fan than ever!
I generally seem to prefer Cyber Monday. They have a lot more deals that suit my taste on the day and I do all my shopping online. Saying that, Black Friday this year was pretty damn impressive!
The violence of Black Friday has put me off whether or not if there are deals. Then you have the fact that stores actually have deals happening online also. Then it makes me wonder why you should even go to a story and risk getting trampled.
If Cyber Monday replaced Black Friday I would hope that I would hear far less about people assaulting each other for towels. It is a difficult thing to accomplish on Cyber Monday. In fact, if you did accomplish such a feat against someone you felt the need to track down over said towels I would have nothing but respect for you. As opposed to those in a store who could easily stab, shoot, and assault each other.
I usually just wait for the Cyber Monday deals. I really don't like going out, hahaha. And people can get a little crazy on Black Friday. What sucks is that sometimes what was offered for Black Friday isn't the same as what was offered for Cyber Monday, but no biggie. I got myself the Samsung Note 8 from Amazon at $40 off during Cyber Monday. So, so worth it.
