PC makers are looking to combat the rise of the Chromebook by offering $200 to $300 devices running Windows 8.1 with Bing that offer cloud storage. They feature similar specs to Chromebooks, including lowly processors and poor build quality. The main issue with such a PC running Windows 8.1 is that Windows is far heavier than Chrome as an operating system. Plus, there are tons of devices that would be considered budget Windows laptop, and the main difference here is the cloud storage.
