I've been hearing some people using milk on their faces. I dunno if it's really effective but it's probably good because they keep on doing it. So my question is, is milk really acceptable as a facial wash? What type of milk should be used? And how do you apply it to the face?

I've never heard of such thing. If you're looking for something to help the skin in your face (or any other part of the body) I would advise Aloe Vera, the plant itself or a good cream. Aloe it's amazing for the skin, possibly the best there is.

Milk is a very noble product and is especially recommended for facial treatments. I don't know their specific properties, but according to my understanding its combination with other ingredients is ideal to nourish, moisturize and treat various skin problems. Many specialists in aesthetic advise its combination with oats or honey, even with lemon.

I have read that if your notes in the face feeling of tightness you can use a cotton soaked in milk and gently wipe the skin, preventing dryness. Warm milk also has cleansers properties. Your skin will be clean and smooth if you use correctly this wonderful product that Mother Nature gives us. :D

Hmmm. . .it's something I wouldn't try but here we go:

1)Get the milk. Raw milk straight outta the cow's udder. If you can't get that, then buy whole milk that's still got the cream in it.
    2) Use some cloth, cotton wool -whatever- to apply the milk all over your face and let it dry.
3)Apply the cotton wool to your face again, dipping it in the milk and washing your face as you would if you were using water. Do that for a few minutes.
    4) After that you can now wash off the milk [and the accompanying smell].

According to rumors, your face will look different after four days [oh that should be obvious. You can't use milk on your face and expect to see no changes]!

I know people that use milk too, but I won't even ingest milk, let alone smother my face in it lol. Commercial milk is full of crap nobody should be ok with.. so it may soften the skin, but I would say it's not healthy for skin (or anything else). If it were clean milk, go for it!

I'm not sure if it's going to work but I also have heard of people doing it. Usually they add oatmeal. Maybe I will try this as well.

I don't think its good to wash your face with. Perhaps it could be a good facial or some kind of lotion that you mix with other natural things. However if you use it to wash your face I don't think you will get any results.

I have heard of some people taking a bath in milk because they swore that it improves their skin, so no wonder some people use it as a facial wash. Here's a link for more info:

Yes 100% milk is used for facial wash. Milk has a several benefits for the skin as well as for the health also. Milk makes the skin smooth and shiny.

Smooth doesn't mean healthy. I can think of a billion things that can make your skin soft, most of which aren't the safest things to use.

I personally have never tried this nor have I ever heard of it being used for facials. But i'm not sure how effective it could be and for people with sensitive skin it might cause a break out of some sort so i'd be very careful doing this,.

I've never heard of it but then again people use milk for various things that are just strange. I wouldn't try it just because the milk you buy isn't going to be as fresh as the one that is in the grocery stores. So maybe if I was nearby a cow I would try anything lol...

its okay to wash it with milk , I do that . But what I do is make it a mask by adding honey and bananas . leave it on your face for 15 mins . I do that 4 times a week before I go to bed . It really helped my skin.

Out of all the years reading about remedies for acne, I've never heard of this one. There is nothing in milk that I know to be specifically beneficial for skincare. But I guess I could do more research if this supposedly works.

Milk can be used to wash your face, but not alone. Most people I know who use milk also mix this liquid with other ingredients great for cleansing one's face. So, it's definitely a more involved process.

I would be too nervous to try that for a long period of time for fear of breakouts. I do use it occasionally though, with other ingredients to be used as a face mask. A remedy I have tried of and recommend is a milk and turmeric face mask. It brightens and evens out skin tone:
