I like cats more, though dogs are fine too. The main reason is that I'm pretty lazy (just like cats). I just can't stand the idea of walking a dog when it's horrible weather or if I'm ill. Too much asked... Also, the fact that you can leave your cats alone for a while and they will be fine, thanks to the litterbox.
I prefer cats rather than dogs, because cats are low maintenance in grooming and food costs, and are generally behaved and quiet. They're much cuter than dogs too in my opinion.
