I kind of agree with this. I use an iPhone 4s. It does make anyone look hip and chick these days not gonna deny that. Perhaps the slick look of the iPhone has something to do with it as well.
Many people do use a phone as a fashion accessory. A cell phone is just a tool for me. I have a regular phone that only costs me $25 per month. The brand is Kyocera, but I doubt it's fashionable.
I will have to go with Parker here. For me a cell phone is a cell phone. It is just a tool to keep me connected. I just refused a tab that was given as a birthday gift. I think there is no need for a tab in my life right now. My phone and my laptop efficiently do what I need to do.. and I am happy with them. I personally do not want to clutter my life with too many material things.
I feel the exact same way that you do about a cell phone. Its a tool that I use to keep in touch with family or to use in case of emergency while I'm away from home. I have never considered it a fashion accessory, although I am not surprised to find out that some people do think of it that way. As for the brand I use, I have a basic simple phone from Tracphone that seems to full fill the reason I have it which is to make phone calls, not for any other reason.
nowadays, the role of cell phone becomes various. It can contact with family and friends, surf the Internet, and sometimes a accessory. Some people will feel uncomfortable when they keep away from cell phone.
Well it is considered as a status symbol, especially if it's an expensive smartphone. But I think the fashion part of it comes into play when you choose the design of the casing of your cellphone, especially if it matches your outfit.
I also kind of agree with this because a cellphone can add so much to us. I have an iPhone 5 and I just feel really good when I am walking around with it. I think it's a fashion statement to have such a sleek smartphone nowadays. I even felt the same way back when I owned a razor phone.
I don't really see or use my cellphone as fashion but I guess some people do anyhow I have an iphone I use it cause it's a lot faster than my old android and I like that I can use it as a mp3 as well
I hate cell phones now. So invasive lol. And I dislike the Iphone's.. it must be a status thing, because I personally don't think it's a very good phone compared to others. I leave mine home unless I'm expecting a call or text, I like being inaccessible when I'm doing my own thing.
While there are many people who treat cell phones as if they were fashion accessories, this is completely impractical. As others have said already, a mobile phone is a device of convenience that serves a specific purpose. The phone is kept in a purse or pocket most of the time anyway - people don't have the same kind of obsession over their wallets, why do they treat their phones this way?
Not part of fashion but more of style. If you have a better looking phone or the latest phone, then you are considered to be a person with style. I think this is why more and more people are always buying new phones as soon as they are released.
Yes, a cellphone complements your look. Most people tend to check it out so often when out for a drink that you tend to notice it. Me, I'm not interested in the type of phone one owns (but this also can tell some things about the owner) but in the type of case it has. A nice looking case is not that expensive and can make your phone into something interesting to look at. Add in some accessories, like a little bell, and that phone just got me charmed
I agree. My teenage sister simply has to have the latest smartphone there is. However, I doubt that grown ups care about this as much. At least I don't. I have a pretty basic Samsung smartphone. It's close to 2 years old now. I can use it for calling, texting, checking my e-mail, and it even takes half-decent photographs. I don't think I'll need a new phone until this one doesn't work anymore or something like that. I cannot see that happening any time soon, though. These Samsung smartphones are pretty much unbreakable unless you make it your intention.
Wow i thought I was the only one who thought about that! Thats true there are millions of fancy sort of trendy cases out there that can match your outfit/personality. But also the phone as well I don't know but I feel girls or people with iphones are more into themselves/stuck up and people with andriods are cooler/laid back! LOL call me crazy but its just my opinion.
I truly agree, I find myself trying to find covers to change on my phone to match my clothing. I feel empty without my phone so when I put on my clothing or attire my phone is considered to be apart of my wood-raw. I think he next thing is going to be tablets. I blame it on the people making all these beautiful designer cases and accessories. smiling
I use an LG, its pretty big and has some really nice features. I love the camera on it because the images look crystal clear after you take a photo. I bought the phone because I liked the size, I like how it was touch screen and I really like phones with flash (in case of an emergency). I wasn't too picky with the brand of the phone as long as the ratings were good. I really wanted an iPhone but the price was just too much out of my budget. >.<'
