If you're planning on building a computer, then it's important to note that prices on CLC cooling systems have gone down noticeably in recent years. These systems use a fan and liquid cooling to cool a computer instead of airflow alone. The result is cooling that's often comparable to higher end HSFs, but they excel in fairly quiet operation compared to bigger HSFs. It's always worth the consideration, and some of the higher end CLC setups are completely safe to use in a desktop.
