I'm very thorough about cleaning out my razors, so I don't have to be blowing $20 a month on new blades. I can typically make a pack of blades last me several months easily if I am careful to clean them out thoroughly after each use, so none of that shaving cream scum hardens and gets dried up in between the blades. I recently switched over to Dollar Shave Club though, so they're only costing me $6-$9 per month depending on which set I order, but even still, I'm really careful with those blades as well, to keep them in good shape. Something else I realized, is that working from home can also save you a lot of money on clothing, coats, shoes, etc... Since I'm not around other coworkers on a daily basis any more, I don't feel as much of a need to have as large of a wardrobe any more so I don't look like I'm always wearing the same things week after week. Plus the clothes I do currently have are lasting me much longer since I don't wear them as much. I'm mainly in athletic shorts and a t-shirt 90% of the time when I'm at home. I would normally go through a pair of dress shoes every 5-6 months, and I have three pairs now that I bought 3 years ago and they still look like new since I don't wear them out much at all.
