Hi everyone, I was just wondering if there is any known cure for blindness. I have a patient who was diagnosed of Glaucoma. Do you think there's a possibility of his sight being restored?

Also, please share your knowledge on this disease of the eye. It might just be of help. Thanks

My friend's dad has glaucoma, he has passed away already but he was not able to cure his disease. I remember that he just applied some drops to his eyes when I was there, but he was not able to restore his sight to it's original clarity. And my friend is not really poor, they can find a way to get some money if needed. So considering that her dad had glaucoma for many years already and he was not cured suggests that it may be impossible to cure.

Hi sidney, thanks for your response. I wish your testimony isn't true. But, do you know if is there's any medical proof that this cannot be cured. I really wish there's a way to help the poor victims.

Thanks again sidney, your responses are highly appreciated.

I am not a doctor or an eye specialist and I don't aby known experience that a certain person is cured by the so called Glaucoma. I am just curious to know if you're a doctor for you said you have a patient?

I think they are very close in the cure for blindness, and they say they can do this by transplanting stem cells into the eye-also they say it could reverse conditions such as glaucoma, retinal detachment, and macular degeneration as well-which would be great news for a lot of elderly.

Sorry to hear about your patient. I found this very helpful article by the National Eye Institute:

The article has treatments too. Aside of working with your doctors to help your patient with glaucoma, I found this site about natural help for stopping and preventing glaucoma:

The Glaucoma Research Foundation recommends natural ways to help you with glaucoma too:

The articles all are very helpful and I hope your patient can be helped and cured. God speed a cure and help for your patient, thank you, amen. (you're welcome in advance for prayers and info!) Take care and speedy recovery!

Glaucoma is not something you can DIY. The only option is surgery or stemcell treatment. Your friend can ask for donation at Gofund, just Google Gofund to know how it works. The donations your friend will receive can help him save money. If your country have free healthcare, he can have surgery for free.

I haven't heard glaucoma to be healed in any way, I know that for smaller problems of sight we can use the small drops of water from the vine plant, we can put this drops in our eyes and our eyes view may improve, but glaucoma is a serious disease.

My maternal grandmother had glaucoma and she died blind at age 60. She lost her vision at age 59 and had to undergo eye surgery. Her vision was restored but it only lasted for a few months. I guess that takes me on the list of people predisposed to this eye disease.

Nowadays, laser procedure is apparently the best way to arrest early symptoms of glaucoma. My sister-in-law had early symptoms of glaucoma. Upon examination, the ophthalmologist found out that her peripheral vision was degrading. She was advised to go for a laser procedure. It's an expensive procedure but thankfully, my brother's medical policy covered the treatment. The procedure restored her vision to 20-20.

Well, an eye specialist can suggest to you or guide you better if blindness is curable or not. I do not have an idea about this.
