When you hop on your bike to get a little exercise or sunshine, do you consider the repairs that might be needed? Do you carry a few tools or a patch kit with you in case there is an issue? I cycle enough that I have had many flat tires and other issues. For me, it makes sense to carry tools and a spare tube so that I can get back on the road or trail as soon as possible. I have noticed that out automobile association is now offering its members roadside assistance for bikes. If I were to evolve and actually carry a phone with me, this could be a very Handy service and it might same me a pound or two of tool weight in my pack.

Do you have a plan if you are out for a ride and something goes wrong?
