I'm contemplating to get a new TV. I want it flat. I'm already tired of our old Aiwa TV that's very very bulky. It's hard to find a place where to position it especially since we are just renting. We keep on moving from one place to another. Sigh... I don't have much money right now though so I just want something cheap. A cheap 21 inch flat screen TV. But also, it should be durable and dependable. I don't want to buy something only to get worn out after 6 months or so. Is there such a thing as a cheap but dependable flat screen TV?
I think all of the China brand TV's nowadays are pretty much of the same quality because I'm guessing they all have similar sources and manufacturers to the big brands, but so far one of the most prominent cheap brands I've come across is DeVant, and although I've seen a few negative comments about this brand online, I've seen a lot more positive ones, so I think you should be relatively safe. We also have one at home and we've had it for two years but we don't use it that much.
You'd probably be better off buying a computer monitor than a flat screen TV. Essentially they are the same thing, and if you have HDMI it could work out very well in your favour. Also, a computer monitor will likely have a higher resolution than you could get for the same price for a television. That's what I would suggest you buy in favour of an actual television, so long as you can work with a computer monitor instead.
