Where do you do your discount grocery shopping? I'm always interested in saving money, but I don't want to compromise on quality too much (at least I don't want to eat anything that might make me sick) There are some dollar stores I trust more than others. Has anyone shopped at an Aldi?

Aldi's products are good. I especially like their jarred sauces. They also have great prices on their spices, only $1 each and they are more than 2-3 times the size of your standard McCormick or Durkee spices. Plus the color is really bright on them, so you know they aren't all old and dried out. Many of their products are actually made by name brand manufacturers, they just sell them under a different name so you are not paying for the "branding". They are also the same company that owns Trader Joes - so if you like Trader Joes, quality wise I think you will be pleased with Aldi.
