As I am going about my errands, I am keeping my eyes peeled for discount gardening items that I can use to spruce up my home. The old owners were not flower people and so the yard looks a little drab. I was at Walmart recently and purchased a bunch of tulip bulb starters that were discounted down to $1 each. I got those planted the other day and am now waiting for the magic to happen. I took a trip to the dollar store and found some herb seeds that were 25 cents per pack and picked a few of them up. I am not sure if they will grow much since they came from the dollar store, but thought I would give it a try since they are so cheap. I also found some other flower starters that were marked down to $1 at Home Depot today and bought up some of them as well. They are hyacinth bulbs and made my car smell wonderful on the ride home. I am trying to get my home to look more alive on a small budget here.
