What kind of decorating, if any, do you do outdoors for Christmas? I don't usually put up lights, but I have always wanted some of those icicle lights. I don't care if they're old news; I still think they are really pretty. I usually put a big red bow on the front door. Last year, I wrapped the porch rails in fake greenery and added red bows. This year, I might put a giant candy cane on the door instead and add some candy canes (not real ones) to the greenery or some other type of "candies."
I live in a small apartment with my 2 month old and fiance -- so decorating outside really is not an option. This is our first year as a family at Christmas so we have a small tree and I put up a few decorations and some lights inside for my baby to enjoy -- but I let my mother do most of the heavy decorating since we always go to her house for the holidays anyway. Maybe when we are in a larger place I will get to enjoy more decorating flair.
I live in an apartment, so no. I find it tedious and a waste of electricity to decorate the outside of my house with lights. I typically just get a small, dry christmas tree and hang some simple decorations on it, maybe get a wreath as well. I wouldn't want to spend more than an hour decorating for christmas, especially since they're getting taken down in a month or so!
We like to keep it simple at our house. We just put up the usual lights and colorful stuff along the fence. There are neighbors that literally have lights going everywhere. I prefer on saving on the electric bill instead of running lights throughout the night.
We live in an apartment so fortunately it's not too difficult for us to decorate outside our home. All we have to do is to hang a circular Christmas decoration on our door and we're done. We're equally just as practical indoors too. We haven't put up a regular sized tree in years because it's just too much work. Instead we just put up some lights and call it a day. It's not the decorations that matter most anyway.
I don't celebrate Christmas so I never decorate outdoors though indoors it's an entirely different matter. I try to accommodate the whims of the guests who visit me. Their kids [my nieces and nephews] are mad about Christmas trees so I have an artificial tree I bought which they can decorate once they get here. But unless they press their parents for outdoor decorations we go without them.
I've never decorated outdoors, but that's not really surprising considering I live in an apartment. We've always had plenty of decorations inside the house, from a tree to lights, reindeer, santas and snowmen, but we've always kept it inside.
Uhh our family is actually lazy enough to leave our decorations on all year round. I'm pretty sure it's like the epitome of lazy. On the other hand, when my friends are driving me home, my house can be easily identified. So, I guess there really isn't any harm.
Christmas is very near and we have decorated our outdoor area with new designer furnitures and lights, in fact I am thinking to light up the pathway of my garden. I believe these outdoor areas often become just as important to decorate as an indoor living room and I hope my decoration will liked by our Christmas guest.
I usually do light outside and Santa clause sitting on a sleigh but nothing overly big like giant inflatables
We decorate but it's not too busy and usually it's at the last minute because we don't get around to it. It's usually a stuffed animal or two and maybe a Santa..something like that. They have a decorating contest again this year at our current residence so hope we can decorate a little earlier.
We that is do put up a tree in side and a reef on the door. Thats about it. We try to keep the clutter and the light bill down.
When I was younger, my family would decorate our yard with Christmas lights and put a Christmas wreath in front of our door. Nowadays, they are all just lazy most of the time to decorate our house and yard. They did put Christmas lights last year for a change.
