I never get tired of cooking the same things but there has to be a rotational system to it. So, I have many different dishes, which are essentially good old favorites. I just spread them out. I never cook the same dish in a week. But my family is open to new experiments, only they have to be warned about it well in advance.
I'm always tired of cooking the same things! I'm not a oickyneater at all, I enjoy different foods and trying new dishes out, its just my cooking skills leave a lot romhe desired and so if I'm eating at home, then I do tend to stick to the same things. During the week its normally things out of the freezer and weekends either home made curry, spaghetti or chilli.
There's a relatively new company called HelloFresh that allows you to choose recipes you like that are constructed by chefs (apparently) & they will send you the ingredients & recipe to follow with said ingredients. That might be a way that you can easily spice up your cooking.
Yes, there are quite a few new companies that offer diversity, but at the same time that costs and not everyone can order or eat out. I feel that with some creativity we can create new things, it's just a matter of creating a discipline and see that as a priority.
Well time is a huge factor & that's really what you're paying for with companies like that. You don't have to go to the store & find the ingredients & find the recipe for said ingredients. It's supposed to work that for what you save in money you spend in time. I'm not advocating this company BTW I'm not well versed in the way they do things. Always research first.
It is really boring that people cook the same thing. But as long as it is hour favourite food I don't thing it matters. I usually cook my favourite food quite a lot.
Yes I do, actually. I even get tired of eating. I seem to run out of ideas, and sometimes it becomes too much of a chore for my liking. There are days when I struggle so much for ideas because nothing I can think of is appealing at that particular time.
I do get tired of them but fortunately there are lots of restaurants around so whenever I feel like eating something else I could just buy takeout. There's also many new ones popping up regularly so I can have a lot of variety there too. If I had to cook something new though I'd just go online and look for some new things to cook up or maybe just browse the grocery for items I might have previously ignored.
One of my major motivations to cook and to cook different things are my kids. Before them I just ate anything and didn't really care, but now I love to see those small mouths eating with joy what I cook and saying they love it.
Haha, yes, I have a daughter just like that. I often end up making her something different than what everyone else is having. People often tell me that she's just spoiled, but like you said, they have to eat. She seriously will not eat if it is something she doesn't like. She isn't even big on trying stuff. I make her try some things occasionally, but for the most part, she eats just a few items. It can be challenging, but some days, I'm just happy to get her to eat.
Mine are not so demanding and one thing I do love about them and remind me of me when I was a kid is that as soon as I start cooking they start to say, mmm, it smells so good! LOL, many times it's just onion and olive oil, but for them it's great already!
But olive oil and onions does smell good. My other kids were like that, "Mmmm, Mama, what are you making? It smells so yummy." They always came to see what I was cooking. The little one was always like whatever it is it's probably yucky. Haha. My husband is a meat and potatoes man. He's not into sauces or fussy dishes. Meat. Potato. Vegetable. I guess I'll just have to stick to trying new things on my own, and make them what they like. There's no rule that says everyone has to eat the same thing every night, right?
That is a fact, especially at 7pm when I am starting to cook dinner and they are already starving, anything smells good to them. They like when I grab them and show them what's inside the pot lol, it's great to be a kid! Meat and potatoes, I love that too, but not all the time.
My husband loves food but can be very picky. He loves to try food and I've got used to the tastes he likes. I now cook even the vegetables or food groups he doesn't like in a manner in which I know he will eat it. It stops me from having to cook the same thing continuously.
Well, yeah, if you starve them they'll eat anything, haha. Kidding, but yeah, they do tend to eat better when they're really hungry. It really is great to be a kid, knowing that someone else will do everything for you, and wants to do it because they love you. I do like cooking for my family. I just wish they were open to trying a few more things. I'd like to get a little bit more creative, at least once in a while. I'll just cut recipes down smaller and make new stuff for myself occasionally... besides, when it's on my plate then they'll want to try it, lol.
Cooking the same things definitely get boring after awhile, but sometimes finding new, convenient things to cook can become somewhat daunting. I like experimenting with new flavors and different dishes, though, so I do not really get all that tired with what I cook. Sometimes, I mix old dishes together, depending on if they would go well together. It's all about mixing it up.
Funny enough kids don't love to be kids, they just want to grow up to be independent, we are never happy with what we have. Sometimes it's really simple to cook something different, just add a new spice or cook things differently.
