I don't even need to make a conscious decision to eat lighter meals throughout the day. I eat like a bird anyway. Sometimes I indulge myself in a bedtime snack and it's not bad to eat when you just have the "munchies". Just know your limits. Personally 99 percent of the time I'm lucky because I don't have to. I remember one time when mom was serving brownies. I couldn't eat more than one without feeling sick. Not only am I not a big sweets eater, my stomach just wouldn't let me overindulge. I sound braggadocios but there is a downside to this. I'm terrible at getting my money's worth at a buffet. My absolute limit is 2 plates and a little dessert.

Skipping meals is not healthy at all! It will actually make your body store more fat from your food, instead of burn it off!

I would never dream of skipping a meal and I make sure I have big, healthy snacks in between each meal. I also have the biggest breakfast ever, bit it's very healthy and really does help keep me going through the rest of the day.

That's interesting, the body stores more fat if we skip meals? How come?

I don't skip meals either, but sometimes a more frugal meal is enough and more healthy than a complete heavy meal, especially at dinner right before we go to bed.

Wow, interesting topic. Sometimes I skip dinner, yes, but I never thought about it saving me money. To be honest, being healthier saves you money for sure, so this is definitely a hot tip. Eating more than you need is, put bluntly, a waste of money and food both.

That is a great line and it's so true micah, being healthier does save us money, so if we have a healthier diet we will save some money because that will imply having lighter meals. Home cooked meals are also way cheaper than the pre-cooked ones and more healthy.
