I really do not like paying extra for shipping, so I usually purchase things from Amazon that qualify for Super Saver Shipping or from websites that offer free shipping on all products. We are pinching our pennies and I simply cannot justify spending extra money for the sole reason of getting something in my hands a few days sooner. As someone already stated, my only exception to this rule is if it is a life or death matter.
It all depends. In international purchases, the urgency isn't usually the common denominator. That is why I accept the normal costs and shipping times. In many cases, an extra shipping greatly increase the final cost. As a result, the shipping is more expensive than the product and clearly that's not good business. To the extent possible manage anxiety, I don't request special shipping services.
I would never pay extra for fast shipping. When possible, I will wait until there is a free shipping deal on, or at the very least when you spend a certain amount. I don't like paying shipping costs in the first place, but most sites are now quite competitive with the shipping costs now. Nonetheless, I wouldn't pay extra to get anything quicker.
Nope. I never pay extra for faster shipping. I usually take standard shipping or if they offer free shipping I take that. If it's something I need RIGHT away and I can get it in my stores locally i'll go to the store and buy it. I never saw a point in paying extra for faster shipping.
The only times I have ever paid any extra for faster shipping are when I needed a textbook within just a few days for one of my classes, and when I got my laptop. Both times the extra shipping was only about $10 more than I would have paid for normal shipping, and it was definitely worth it. Otherwise, unless it was something that I needed immediately and couldn't get anywhere else, I don't think I would pay extra for faster shipping.
I have paid more for faster shipping only when I've urgently needed the item. How much time am I willing to wait for this? Not more than one working day. I've never opted for overnight service, although selecting 1st class postage usually gets my item delivered the next day.
It depends on the item that i'm buying. Most of the time I try to use the cheapest shipping option when I order games or gaming accessories. If it's an expensive or fragile item I look at using a more quicker and safer option in which case I don't mind paying a little bit extra. In most cases I don't think it's necessary.
I never pay extra for fast shipping. When I shop online I do so mostly when the site I'm shopping from offers free shipping or I find a coupon online that would offer free shipping. I always make sure to purchase what I need a few days in advance so my order would arrive at my home within 3-8 business days.
One of my main aims of shopping online is to receive the goods I want right at my doorstep for free! So I wouldn't be the sort to pay for shipping or faster delivery. Anything that I choose to buy online wouldn't be something I need urgently so waiting for it to arrive is fine with me. Why pay the extra bucks for quick delivery if you really need the goods so quickly? Why not head down to the shop and grab yourself something extra with the amount you would have forked out for express shipping?
I have never paid extra for faster shipping. It just seems like a waste of money to me because some of those rates are really high. I don't mind waiting the week or so to get whatever it is I bought. Besides, instead of paying for the faster shipping I'd probably save more if I just went to the store to pick up the item.
I try to not pay for shipping when I purchase something online, so I would never pay for express shipping.
I never have paid more money for faster shipping. I am a pretty patient person and everything I order online I don't NEED right away. I do have Amazon Prime though which entitles me to free 2 day shipping for all items. The service is $70 a year but it includes movie streaming, a free Kindle book every month, and the free 2 day shipping. I order a lot of things from Amazon so it is definitely worth the money.
Depends on what I buy, on the courier, on how anxious I feel, and how big the difference is. Usually I don't go for the cheapest type of shipping if I'm buying something I actually want. But as long as it has a tracking number, I know it can't last that long to get here.
I have to admit, when funds allow, I always request priority/fast shipping. More so if the item is much needed but usually because I am so impatient! I usually regret the extra spend when the item arrives and I realise I could of actually waited another 24 hours for it!
No, and to be honest I would never even consider paying extra for faster shipping. It's such a waste of money and from what I've seen, your item is still not even 100% guaranteed to come on time either. I don't usually buy things that I need "right this moment" online. If I want something fast, I'll go out and buy the physical product at the store that same day.
I never pay anymore because usually when I do, it does not be there when its supposed to be there. And I end up being very angry because I paid for extra 30 dollars.
I usually plan well ahead so that I don't have to pay extra for shipping. I order text books online and often order them two weeks before classes start. Unless it is absolutely necessary, I don't pay extra for fast shipping. There have been a few instances where I have had to pay a little more on short notice, but I hate doing it. I could put that money towards something else, you know?
I'm a member of Amazon Prime, so it's not really an issue for me. It was one of the best online deicsions I have ever made.
No, paying extra for shipping is pointless because it takes away the advantage that online shopping almost always has- the prices are better. If I'm gonna end up paying the same, or a larger amount of money online because of shipping costs then I'll just buy it in-store.
Unless I'm in a rush to get somewhere, or I desperately need the item that is being shipped, no, I don't pay extra. Money doesn't buy everything, but it certainly keeps me alive.
