I use my Paypal debit card, but I swipe it as credit so that I can get 1 percent cash back. It adds up to a few bucks at the end of the month!

Seeing that in my family we already have some problems with credit cards, i will try to stay away from them as much as i can. I know that this could have been prevented by being careful and plan ahead, but such thing never happens in this family of mine.

I also have no problem with linking my credit card as long as some websites don't ask me to save the information.
I like to purchase and then erase the memory from that website just for those "in case" moments.
I also prefer to use other websites like PayPal because I find them more trustworthy than just giving my actual credit car number.

I always look for sites that accept paypal. If I'm really tempted to go outside of any site that doesn't use paypal I usually just get a prepaid virtual credit card, or I get a physical prepaid credit card. Just something doesn't sit well with me having one of my personal credit cards on these sites.

I thought of using Paypal Debit card and when I tried to apply, an error pops up saying that they cannot issue debit cards to persons outside US. So, I am afraid I cannot apply for one. Anyway, I am thinking of applying for a add-on card which is linked to my fathers credit card. Will see how things go on.

AS much as possible, I only use my paypal whenever I shop online, This helps me stay away from paying too much on my account. I hardly trust the net or any shop online to give out my credit card number.

I would prefer to pay via credit card because it is handy and can carry anywhere. Sometimes using my paypal account is also useful. I never prefer to use my credit card outside US. I use a Chase Credit Card for payments and get a 2% of cashback on purchases and some buck in my account. I always take care about a credit card number while using it. Generally I use this credit card where I am sure about a faithful transactions.

I got in so much credit card debt in the past that I had to file bankruptcy as a result. I now have no credit cards at all. I have two debit cards one connected to my bank account the other to my paypal account. This is the money that I use for online purchases, I refuse to ever get myself in credit card debt again. For me the only way to avoid this is to not have a single credit card in my possession. The fact that there are now pre-paid credit cards and debit cards that work pretty much the way credit cards do except they are based on your money, I don't think I am ever going to fall into that trap ever again, at least I don't plan to.

I used to have a credit card to buy grocery and pay my bills, however, I have cancelled it a long time ago because I didn't feel the need to have it anymore. I don't want to use to pay for stuff in advance due to the fact that I don't want to owe the debt.

I personally prefer using a debit card to a credit card because I don't like the idea of buying things when I don't have the money for them. You can always end up overusing it if you aren't too careful.

I don't buy too many things online, probably just the odd video game here and there. Also, I have never had any troubles with online buying, and I always use credit card, or PayPal. I tend to stay away from sites that look fishy or ones that have bad reviews. I also try to do my research on a website beforehand!

I always use my credit card or PayPal to purchase things online, I also occassionally use credit cards to make payments at restaurants. I find that some credit cards (I'm not naming names) charge higher interests than others.

I like using my CC to buy from the internet.
Most websites use the https protocol, and it's basically the same thing as http but the data you send is encrypted.

I try to pay for certain things with my credit card. Since I get cash back on all my purchases when I use my card. I like to use it for certain purchases to build up my rewards. Plus, paying it in full each month will look good on my credit.

I don't see a problem with paying with credit cards, honestly. If you know what you are doing, there is little chance of fraud or anything else happening.

I learned my lesson the hard way using and abusing of credit cards, so I don't longer use any, but I will like to prove myself that I really learned.

I'm actually only using debit cards though, mostly to pay online services.

I have to agree with what is being said. Sometimes you don't have a choice but to use your credit card. I will do some research on the company first to see if they are trust worthy before using my credit card. What I have found is that often smaller companies use third party companies to handle their payments. In this case you need to look at the third party company as this will be the company who then has your credit card details. I think I prefer third party companies because then this is what they specialise in and they can insure that it works correctly and safely.

In South Africa we have also just started something with ABSA bank where they now on your credit card provide a One time pin. So basically the company you buying from will have you Credit card details but when you submit for payment you have to push a button on the credit card which gives you a pin to type in. The bank then verifies this pin. So even though the company has your credit card details they cannot use or sell it becasue they do not hold the credit card to get the pin (the pin is always different)

I never pay using my credit cards because I am scared that It'll become overdrawn. For most of my purchases, I use a debit card, as you can't overdraw from these cards, so it's more safe and you won't accidently end up with a big overdrawn sum waiting to collect interest.

I don't have to use my credit card when I am buying something which is from my own country. On the other hand, if I buy something from outside India, I have to sue Credit Card as there is not other modes of payment possible. If you don;t have credit card, you can create only virtually through various services available online.
