I'm a voracious reader and I anticipate new releases of favorite authors with deep hunger. I will set my alarm for 3am, when a preorder book will hit my kindle and get up to start it right then. And pretty much nothing else happens on a release day, especially if multiple books are released. (Tomorrow in my list is "Visions of Silver" by Anne Bishop, "Dead Heat" by Patricia Briggs, and "Dark Debt" by Chloe Neil). I'm a little cray about it. I didn't used to preorder when I was reading paper based books because I could go to the book store earlier than the UPS guy would arrive with the book. Then for a while on Amazon, I was preordering books and found that the price dropped on release day but if you preordered, you paid the original price so I stopped preordering. Now they have the preorder guarentee (if the price drops, you pay the lowest) so I'm back to the pre-order plan. I just wish they would charge my card when I order it instead of waiting until release day. Keeping track is a pain. Do you preorder things on amazon? If so, how do you keep your account straight?
