Banks offer different types of deposits. Two of the most common types are the savings and time deposits. In a savings deposit, you get to stash away your dough in a bank, earn a small amount of interest, and deposit or withdraw money anytime you want. As for time deposits, you will earn a higher interest as compared to a savings deposit but you can't withdraw cash immediately. Which do you prefer? Which type of deposit do you have?

I only have a savings account right now, but if I won the lotto, I would definitely put a large amount of my winnings into time deposit, so that I can profit from the interest. The interest that you get in a savings account is really peanuts for the average person.
