Most prefer take away than the home prepared food. I think that fast food is meant for people who long hours and have no time to prepare food at home. I like preparing my food at home than buying to ensure safety and hygienic conditions.

There is no doubt at all that food that is purchased fresh and prepared at home is a much more nutritious meal that food that probably was frozen before it was cooked and then has sat under a heat lamp, or on a steam table for hours to keep it up to temperature. Plus, there are a lot more chemicals in prepared food than in the meals that you make at home.
I remember reading about a health food store that bought a “meal deal” at McDonalds and then they sat it up on their counter, in open air and with no refrigeration. A whole year later, that burger and fries had never molded, it just dried out. This gives you a good idea of how much chemical preservatives must have been in that fast food meal.
I think that having fast food occasionally is not a bad thing. We all have nights where there is not time to make dinner, or we are just too tired to cook, and a take-out pizza makes a perfect and fast meal. As long as you are not just living on this kind of food most of the time, it can be a helpful thing; but is definitely not something that a person should be having instead of a home cooked meal on a regular basis.

Wow! A whole 365 days without mold on the fries, that is almost a miracle. Before I read your comment, I was all for fast foods, especially pizza. I honestly don't think I can buy take away foods again now that I understand the extent of chemical content in them. For food to last that long the chemicals must be a very large percentage of the food, which means that it is most likely not even nutritious. I read somewhere that fast foods are sometimes casinogens( can cause cancer) but I did not believe it. I still find it hard to accept that even delicious take out like pizza are potentially harzadous but I guess I will have to believe sometime.

We only buy food on occasions. When we have no time to cook, when there are no ingredients due to lack ok time to go to the market, or when it is a special day like birthday or anniversary. It's not good to develop the habit of buying food to take home instead of cooking since it can be considered extravagance.

I prefer food prepared at home. It is cheaper to cook your own food than buying take away. But if you have no time or you are in a hurry, then take away food is okay.

If you can carry homemade food to work, school or during picnics, then it is better than buying Takeaway. :D I buy Takeaway once in a while especially when I spend a whole day away from home.

I usually cook my food, I do eat out but that would be only once or twice in a month. Aside from eating out costs a lot, I like preparing my own food so I know what's in my food. I do not use MSG that's why I rarely eat out. Most food I purchase out there is filled with MSG.

I am not that much of a cook and I currently live within a dorm that has no kitchen, at least none to my knowledge. Fast for me is ideal because it is cheap and quick. There are a good number of food on the go that is both healthy and cheap on the pocket. I feel as if takeway is a good cheap option for the weekday and cooking is good for the weekends.

If things are rushed then the better way to deal with it is with takeaway dishes. Especially if you're too hungry and your family, too. It will take some time to cook home prepared dishes. I think both can be alternate.

I like both take away and home made foods. Sometimes home made foods feel boring and tasteless to me. You are all right that home made food are nutritious and more hygienic that take away foods there's no doubt in that. I start to get bored on home made foods when the ingredients being used by the cook is very generic and some are missing. Once in a while I order take away food so I will have a different taste than the usual home made foods that I am always eating.

I prefer home cooked meals, who wouldn't? But there are some very good ready meals available now . Yesterday my sister and I were in a hurry and we found a salmon meal with green beans, broccoli with new potatoes. It took 4 1/2 mins in the microwave and was absolutely delicious. I rarely buy takeout meals unless I am passing a fish and chip shop as I can't resist this.

I prefer home cooked meals over takeaways any time. They are much cheaper, tastier and nourishing and we know they are much much better as we prepare themselves. But still, at times, I don't getting ready meals from outside simply as a treat or when I need to relax and not do anything else. We then order pizza or pasta sometimes or just go to a restaurant and splurge on Chinese meals.

Fast food is really unhealthy, just watch the documentary Supersize Me to see what I'm talking about. I also would rather buy the cheaper foods because fast food can be quite expensive, not to mention unhealthy.
